## What's Inside?

Small businesses in communities nationwide are facing unprecedented economic challenges and the risk of permanent closure. To help address these challenges, we've authored a Commercial District Recovery Guide in partnership with the [Local Initiatives Support Corporation](https://www.lisc.org/) (LISC) and with support from the [U.S. Bank Foundation](https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/community/charitable-giving-and-volunteerism.html).

The recovery guide provides intermediary groups with recommendations on how to:

 

- **Effectively communicate that districts are ‘Open for Business’**
- **Conduct a comprehensive assessment of damage/ impact of the pandemic to make the case for funding and resources**
- **Adapt the public realm for social distancing**
- **Provide guidance to businesses on new safety guidelines and ways to adapt commercial spaces for social distancing**
